RNA2.7 is a long non-coding RNA encoded by HCMV, which has be reported related with apoptosis. We have found RNA2.7 can also affect virus replication.

View SamplesRecent studies have shown that AMPKα2 can regulate epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT) processes during kidney fibrosis. However, the underlying mechanisms for AMPKα2 changes in renal tubular EMT remain unclear.

View SamplesMOF is a histone acetyltransferase specific for H4K16 acetylation. It has been demonstrated that MOF is lower expressed in series of human cancers. However, the molecular mechanism underlying the detailed biological function of MOF in endometrial carcinomas (ECa) has not been fully defined. The estrogen receptor (ER) action plays a crucial role in endometrial cancer tumorigenesis and progression. Here, our data have demonstrated that estrogen/ER induces MOF gene transcription, meanwhile MOF stabilizes ER via acetylating ER in ECa, indicating that MOF forms a positive feedback loop with ER. In the whole genome-wide level, RNA microarray analyses have shown that MOF modulates a subset of endogenous ER-regulated genes, such as apoptosis associated factor DRAM1 and oncogene FXYD3. Knockdown of MOF leads to a G2/M cell cycle arrest and promotes ECa cell growth and proliferation. MOF depletion promotes xenograft tumor growth in mice. In addition, our results have demonstrated that MOF expression is lower in ECa than that in benign endometrial tissues. Importantly, the expression of MOF is positively correlated with that of ER in clinical samples. Cumulatively, our results suggest a positive feedback regulation involving MOF and ER is essential for suppression of endometrial cancer.

View SamplesTo explore the mechanisim and signaling pathway of hypomethylating agent decitabine in reversing P-glycoprotein(P-gp) induced multidrug resistance, we used adriamycin to treat drug sensitive human chronic myeloid leukemia K562 cells(KS) and successfully induced multidrug-resistant K562/ADR (KA) cells that higher expression of drug efflux pump P-gp. Gene expression profile was used to analysis the difference gene expression before and after treated with decitabine in both KS and KA cells.

View SamplesOsteosarcoma (Osteosarcoma) is a type of bone cancer. Eighty percent of this tumor will be metastatic to the lungs or liver, and as a result, patients generally need chemotherapy to improve survival possibility. Recently, anti-tumor activity has been reported in Ocimum gratissimum aqueous extract (OGE), which has been the focus of recent extensive studies on therapeutic strategies due to its antioxidant properties.
